Participants will collect garbage and recyclables. Stations will be set up at each neighborhood community center, Meade High School and Child, Youth and School Services.

Several prizes will be presented including "go green" prizes and complimentary eco-friendly hotel stays.

The school that collects the most garbage will a receive a $300 "Go Green Grant" to fund a "Go Green" section in the school's media center.

A plaque also will be awarded to the company with the most representation and garbage collected at the event.
