In the event of inclement weather that necessitates the closure, delayed arrival/opening, reduced operations or early release of personnel from Fort Meade, announcements will be made on the radio and television stations shown in the chart to the right.

Only those announcements specifically addressed to "Fort Meade personnel" are to be heeded. Listeners should presume their offices will open each regular working day regardless of weather or the conditions which may develop unless otherwise notified. All personnel should be aware of their offices' own adverse weather notification procedures.

Weather announcements are available by calling the Fort Meade 24-hour Adverse Weather Line at 301-677-MEAD (6323) or by visiting http://meadetv.wordpress.com.

KIMBROUGH'S ADVERSE WEATHER OPERATIONS

Whenever Fort Meade reduces operations because of inclement weather, Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center will reduce operations accordingly. All medical services, to include pharmacy services, will be suspended until normal operations are resumed.

Patients with appointments or scheduled surgeries on days when there is adverse weather should check to see whether the installation is at reduced operations before coming to Kimbrough. Call the Fort Meade Adverse Weather Line at 301-677-6323, or tune to local radio/TV stations for announcements specifically addressed to "Fort Meade personnel."

If you require acute care on any day that Kimbrough is closed, go to your nearest emergency room. If you require emergency medical care at any time -- even when Kimbrough is open -- dial 911.
