To date, approximately 19,000 tons of buried trash have been safely removed and transported off post to an approved landfill.

When the trash removal is complete, the site will be backfilled, leveled and seeded with grass, leaving an open flat field.

The project schedule has been extended into mid-July, primarily due to inclement weather -- a common problem with outdoor construction projects.
